The 2000s brought us the DSLR revolution, and with that much cheaper prices. I was just a 4 year old when this camera released so the thought of owning one might not have mattered much. But ever since the age of 12 i’ve had the spirit of owning a camera.
This camera found itself to me after i caught it in marketplace in a rather sorry state, no body cap, no battery and no CF card. but for the low price of 25 dollarydoos or L.600 it was too good a deal to pass up considering that the not much more capable Rebel T3 regularly sells used for 120 usd or L.3000.
A camera for that cheap has to be bad right? Not so fast. Canon in the early 2000s was at the top of their game imaging and semiconductor wise. sure this was an entry level DSLR in a market hungry for innovation but that also means that you don’t really know how good or bad your product lines are and how to surgically cripple them.
